Superstar signing Jack Wighton has commenced his tenure at South Sydney.
Monday saw Wighton participating in his first training session with the Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval.
Over the past weekend, he relocated to Sydney, and has quickly taken to local leisure spots such as Maroubra Beach.
Post his morning training, Wighton was to return to South Sydney‘s high-performance centre at Maroubra for a bout of weight training on Monday afternoon.
Rabbitohs authority figures have been in constant touch with Wighton to ensure he is settling well into his new club environment.
Souths CEO, Blake Solly, has enthusiastically welcomed the addition of Wighton to the team.
Solly remarked on Wighton’s evident passion for the game and the positive contribution the player could make to the club.
He also expressed the team’s excitement over Wighton’s arrival and is eagerly anticipating welcoming him and his family when they transition from Canberra in the forthcoming weeks.
