Newly appointed St George Illawarra coach, Shane Flanagan, is making his mark on the Dragons‘ squad, signalling the exit of Tautau Moga and Nick Lui-Toso. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of player movement around the NRL‘s other clubs.
Despite their blistering form as they charge into the finals, the Newcastle Knights are set to part ways with 10 members of their squad, including Dom Young, who’s headed to the Roosters come next season. Additionally, Knights players Adam Clune, Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Lachlan Miller will be taking their talents to the Super League in 2024.
It’s a shake-up year for the Warriors too. They’ve confirmed Bayley Sironen isn’t in their future plans and neither is the young front rower, Valingi Kepu, both of whom will leave at the end of this season. The Warriors made these announcements at their season-end awards.
In terms of player recruitment, the Dragons have lured Ben Murdoch-Masila away from the Warriors, and the North Queensland Cowboys have secured Viliami Vailea. Also, the Dolphins have waved goodbye to premiership winner Brenko Lee, while readying to welcome Herbie Farnworth and Tom Flegler in the next season.
