Despite being brutally axed after a disappointing performance against Melbourne in round 15, Hynes has grown from the experience according to Fitzgibbon.
While he refrains from criticising the selectors, Fitzgibbon acknowledges the immense pressure faced by Blues players and sees this adversity as an opportunity for Hynes to develop and mature.
Fitzgibbon reiterates his belief that Hynes is capable of excelling in the Origin arena and would back him to perform if given the chance. With favorable matches in the coming month, Cronulla has its sights set on a top-two finish.
Additionally, Toby Rudolf, who has been out with a foot injury since round 5, is expected to make his return through the NSW Cup.
