Jai Arrow and Cameron Murray suffered injuries on Saturday night when the South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium.
Arrow suffered a severe high ankle sprain and will require surgery which will rule him out for 6 to 8 weeks.
This will be seen as a significant blow for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Queensland State of Origin team. Arrow has been a significant contributor to the Rabbitohs success and played a pivotal role in the Maroons first game defeat of the NSW Blues.
Arrow appeared to succumb to a hip-drop tackle and immediately left the field on Saturday night and initially hoped the injury would be a low grade strain. Unfortunately, for Arrow, scans have confirmed the injury is more severe than first thought.
Murray suffered a groin injury and will be missing for at least two weeks – this will cause concern for the Rabbitohs and Brad Fittler‘s NSW Blues.
